You'll also need to use a high-quality HDMI 2.1 cable to connect your PS5 if you want to play at 120 hz and use your laptop then you need that capture card and you have to buy a $100 device to make it an external capture card. this should explain everything bud. I am using HD60 S+ with my Xbox Series X, it can passthrough 120 fps at 1080p at least. I dont see it being a hard thing to do even from the POV of the devs. If someone has a 4k tv, then he gets an option to play at 4k 30 fps, and if he has FULL HD screen then he should enjoy the 60 fps which the ps4 pro already targeted for the most part.
